Nursing

The nursing programme is a 3½-year (210 ECTS) professional bachelor programme organized with alternating periods of theoretical and clinical teaching.

Students from Germany have the possibility to get special supervision in German.

The programme includes subjects such as: nursing, psychology, anatomy and physiology, disease theory, sociology, research, philosophy and ethics. Throughout the programme the professional practice of the subjects is tested through oral and written theoretical and clinical exams. Good opportunities exist for additional studies at post-graduate, master and Ph.D. level.

Their purpose being: to enhance and preserve health; to prevent disease; to nurse, relieve and treat the ill, nurses play a vital role in the Danish health care system. Nurses have a responsibility to practice, communicate, manage and develop nursing and an educational responsibility for their own as well as adjacent professions.
