Geographically, UC SYD, University College South Denmark covers Southern Jutland and has more than 6,500 students and 700 members of staff.

UC SYD, University College South Denmark offers a wide range of higher education study programmes and courses at all levels, with an emphasis on first-cycle bachelor degrees in the field of Educational Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Communication Sciences. We have more than 6.000 students, including many international students.

Being a university college means that we aim to provide students with an education that mixes theory with the practical application of what is being taught. Students studying full degrees will often have periods of internships as part of their education, where they are tutored and get first hand experience with applying what they learned in class.

UC SYD also produces research on a wide range of topics, and participate in several national and international projects. Apart from doing "traditional" research, our staff also provide services in the form of consultancy within their fields.

The Code of Conduct summaries ethical guidelines about recruitment, admission and education at University College South Denmark and is an ethical and legal binding document for the Danish Universities of Applied Sciences. Furthermore the Code of Conduct contains information about the Danish Universities of Applied Science’s joint approach to agents and international partners. 

This Code of Conduct is aimed at international students who are considering studying in Denmark, at agents employed by Danish educational institutions, at potential partner institutions and at other interested parties.

Danish public higher education institutions strive to ensure that talented and professionally competent international students choose to study in Denmark on the basis of the high academic quality and the international reputation of Danish higher education programmes.

Danish higher education institutions wish to improve and strengthen international cooperation and promote Denmark as an attractive high-quality place of education for international students.

Danish higher education institutions are obligated to ensure that national and international students are treated similarly and in accordance with relevant and existing legislation. However, in a number of areas international students may need particularly targeted information and special precautions and guidelines.
