Danish economy - stay positive!

"Everything is relative" - In spite of the fact that Denmark is on the 4th place of most expensive countries in Europe, it is still a country which offers one of the best social security system in the world. On one hand, you will need around 700 - 800 EUR (5000 - 6000 DK) per month to cover living costs in Denmark, on the other hand, there is no tuition fee for students coming from the EU.

Just an example of things being relative: in UK university students have to pay around 9000 pounds tuition fee per year (which equals 90000 DK), which means, if you are coming from UK, you can use your savings to maintain your living costs by yourself, plus learn foreign language and experience the culture. In addition to that, you can get SU (study support money) in case you start working 12 hours a week. It will not be possible during your first year of study (as you will have to learn Danish very intensively), but the faster you integrate in the society, the better chances of financing yourself you get. So, it is all about you.

Admission requirements - we are always ready to help!

Just as any other institutions, Danish universities have some specific admission requirements. You have to apply through the common Danish system, just like Danish citizens. Some of the documents you will have to fill out will be in Danish, but don't be afraid: We are always there to help you! Just contact us by email, skype or phone.

Among our general requirements are:

  • An upper-secondary school leaving certificate/high school diploma or the equivalent (with an average grade, corresponding to the Danish grade 7 - read more.....)
  • Fluency in English or German (in all cases English proficiency is required, as most of the subjects during your first year are taught in English)
  • Being open-minded, flexible and prepared to learn a new language
