Official Dolby Atmos Certification Course

Develop your professional Dolby Atmos skills through five intensive days of hands-on training at Sonic College.

Offered by Sonic College as a Dolby Creator Lab Certified Academic Partner, this intensive five-day certification course gives you the opportunity to work hands-on with professional immersive audio workflows in one of Northern Europe’s most advanced sound design education environments.

Throughout the week, you will explore Dolby Atmos production workflows across music, immersive audio and post-production while working directly in Sonic College’s professional facilities, including:

Headphone-based immersive production systems
Professional 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos studios
Theatrical Dolby Atmos mixing cinema

The course combines technical understanding, creative workflows and practical production experience in a focused professional learning environment with a limited number of participants.

Upon completion of the course, participants can take the official Dolby Creator Lab certification exam and earn certification through Sonic College as a Dolby Creator Lab Certified Academic Partner

Participants are expected to:

Be experienced Pro Tools users
Have prior experience with professional audio production workflows
Have a basic understanding of multichannel or immersive audio production environments

To ensure a suitable professional and technical level among participants, admission includes a short assessment process prior to acceptance. Please note that lectures, demonstrations and course materials are primarily based on Apple/macOS workflows. Participants using Windows-based systems may experience some workflow differences.

Applicants will be asked to provide the following information:

Years of experience using Pro Tools
Type of professional experience (music production, post-production, game audio, broadcast, etc.)
Experience with multichannel or immersive audio production
A short description of other relevant professional experience
